Head of International Studies
João Pedro Bastos is an industrial engineer and holds a master's degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in Operations Research. He is partner and Head of the international studies area of PSR, where he has been working for 9 years. Mr. Bastos leads projects related to international electricity market analysis, system modeling, energy planning and regulatory design. In addition, he has been an instructor in courses on electricity market design, energy auctions and power system modeling and planning. His international experience includes projects in more than 20 countries, supporting public, private and multilateral institutions. He has authored or co-authored books and technical articles published nationally and abroad.
